An employer must meet ALL of the following eligibility requirements to be eligible for CHT’s plans:
1. Meet the applicable chamber membership requirements. Businesses outside Jefferson Parish can join their local chamber of commerce, if one exists, and CHT will handle the required Greater Jefferson Chamber of Commerce affiliation on their behalf.
2. The employer maintains business licensure and all appropriate state filings allowing the company to actively conduct business in the state of Louisiana.
3. Employers are required to have a minimum of 2 employees enrolled to qualify.
If your business is located in Jefferson Parish, you must be a member in good standing with the Greater Jefferson Chamber of Commerce.
If your business is located outside Jefferson Parish, you can join your local chamber of commerce, if one exists. If you’re already a member, you can maintain that membership. CHT will arrange the required Greater Jefferson Chamber of Commerce affiliation on your behalf as part of enrollment.
You do not need to arrange a separate Jefferson Chamber membership yourself.
For an employee to be eligible to participate in CHT’s plans, they must meet the following eligibility requirements:
-Full-time employees (30+ hours per week)
For newly eligible employees, employees have thirty (30) days from their date of eligibility to enroll in CHT plans. If your new employee is outside the thirty (30) day window, they’ll have to wait until the next annual enrollment period.
